Apple recently released their new Hermès AirTags, which are more pricey than anticipated. With a costly installation price at one of the retail locations across the United States and an overpriced replacement fee, users must consider all of the associated costs before investing in these devices.
At Apple's Spring Loaded event, the AirTag was one of the most talked-about products. Technology and fashion collided with a luxurious version of Apple's latest accessory, tailored in partnership to Hermès. While an individual AirTag is priced at $29 USD and a four-pack for only $99 USD, the high-end edition carries a significantly higher price tag than its affordable counterpart.
The AirTag from Apple is a tiny tracking device that supports the company's Find My app, letting you locate your important items like wallets and keys with extreme precision. Three stylish Hermès-branded variations– a key chain, bag charm and luggage tag – are available for purchase. All of these items feature Barenia leather detailing and come at a steep price ranging between $299 USD (for the charm) to $449 USD (for the luggage tag). This is even more expensive than Apple’s iPhone SE, which starts at $399 USD.
If you'd like to pick up one or more of these accessories, pre-orders will start on April 23, with a wider release on April 30. You can find out additional information at Apple's online store.
